Scholarships

Divya received a coveted eleven year advanced training with a scholarship in Bharathanatyam awarded by the Indian Centre for Cultural Resources and Training
, Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India under Guru Kalakshetra Krishnamoorthi, one of the world renowned teachers of India.

Divya was conferred in 1993 the prestigious GuruKulam Scholarship in Mohiniattom by Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth (SPIC-MACAY)
to absorb at first hand the style of the Gurus. Divya stayed with legendry Guru late Kalamandalam Kalyani Kutti Amma, the doyen of Mohiniattom, from Kerala Kalanilayam for a period of time under the scheme.

Divya also received an Indo-Norwegian scholarship for Kathakali under the K.A.P Project scheme through the courtesy of International Centre for Kathakali, Delhi.

Delhi N.S.S, one of the foremost socio-cultural organizations encouraged Divya with a scholarship in recognition of her all round excellence.
Divya is an Indian government panel graded artist in Doordarshan (National Television) Prasar Bharthi, of I&B Ministry, Government of India.

- BUD'S 92 - LION'S CLUB INTERNATIONAL'S All India Music and Dance - national competitions.
- SANGEETHAYAN TROPHY - All India music and dance competitions in 1992.
- SARVASHRESHTA BAL NRITHYANGANA AWARD of sakunthala kalakendra National competitions 1991.
- BEST CHILD DANSEUSE (classical) award of HPT station of I&B Ministry.
- BEST PERFORMER - Inter-school Zonal competitions conducted by the Directorate of Education.
- DOORDARSHAN AWARD for a Live telecast of best performer in a nation-wide selection.
- CHILD OF THE YEAR - 1995 selected as the finalist from North Zone in a nation-wide selection by the Indian Council of Child Welfare.
- Inter Collegiate, Inter University and Inter State awards including the NATARAJA AWARD from the Indian Institute of Technology.
- BEST CLASSICAL DANCER AWARD by the Cultural Council of Delhi University
in which 32 colleges participated during the Platinum Jubilee Celebration in 1998.
- SPECIAL COLOR AWARD by Hansraj College
for being the Topper in Classical Dance by winning a record of more than a dozen awards during her college tenure.
- Award from Swaranjali, the Music Society of Hansraj College for being the Joint Secretary of the society.
